| Ludwig Haas was invited to present his unique steel art as a special program point of cultural autumn in Jennersdorf 2004. He agreed but it was a clear goal not to exhibit in a traditional environment of a gallery or a museum. His idea was to show his sculptures in a living church " a place which is not used or designed to have such presentations". "To have no fear of beeing minor in comparision with all the opulence and values of a such a place is a challenge which is contrary to common intention of beeing in the center of admiration", Ludwig Haas said. Despite the fact that such independent art presentation is risky and unusual in austrian church pastor Alois Luisser opened his house for the idea and its realisation. As a consequence "Stadpfarrkirche Jennersdorf" became a significant meeting point between art and church from Sept 10th to Sept 12th 2004. During opening ceremony a light show "inside and outside the church in contrast" focussed on both of them in a very sensitive way. |
